Chinese car makers could be on the verge of manufacturing in the UK through deals with JLR and Nissan to use their facilities.

Goodbye British car industry - what's left of it.

Now does that mean:-

*  Customers in UK will not get the benefit of the discount thru the subsidy by the Chinese Govt given to any EV built in China?

That is why the Euro Union imposed tariffs on Chinese built EV's sold in the EU to the exact $$ as the EV's subsidy, as a protection of the Euro EV automakers.

*  ALL purchase details, presumably incl the customers' personal/financial details if financed by the Dealership, will be given to the Chinese Govt.?

So you're fine with Indians making cars in Britain but if the Chinese do it it's the end of the British car industry. Seems logical.

Chery already have a factory in Spain where they assemble  tiggo 7 and 8 CKD kits and the spanish Erbo suv.

JLR already make cars in China so it would so it should be natural for it to come the other way.. they will start as kits but local content will follow
