The new Infiniti M will have new climate control tech that will blow air in breezes to simulate nature, and which can blow artificial aromas such as 'leaf' and 'wood' at the occupants.
The system, which autocar.co.uk tested at the Tokyo motor show, aims to keep the driver de-stressed and research into the effectiveness of the system went as far as making live brain scans while it was in use.
Infiniti calls the system 'Forest Air' because it believes most people rate forest air as the cleanest and most refreshing.
The system adds humidity to the air, as well as ionising and filtering it, as traditional air-con systems are judged to make the air too dry. It also detects 'bad' smells, pushing them out of the car and blocking them from entering it.
Infiniti has also gone to exceptional lengths to improve the quality of the cabin materials, working with Nagoya Institute of Technology to understand the way human finger tips sense materials. The upshot is softer leather and plastic mouldings that are much softer to the touch.
The Infiniti M goes on sale in the UK next year, and buyers will have an option of a 3.0-litre V6 diesel, 3.7-litre V6 petrol, and 3.5-litre V6 petrol electric hybrid.
