Lotus’s new Exige has gone on sale for £29,995, in the same week that the final Esprit rolled off the Hethel line, bound for the US.The new Elise-based coupé is a race-inspired tin-top and uses the same 190bhp Toyota engine and six-speed ’box as the new Elise 111R. Autocar scooped the new Esprit, which goes on sale in 2006, on 3 February.
