BMW is to launch a new entry-level 2.0-litre Z4, opening its roadster to a wider market of potential buyers when sales start in May. The new car should be priced at around £22,000, compared with the current £24,700 2.2-litre entry-level model. The lightweight 150bhp four-cylinder unit, also used in the 1- and 3-series, will be built at BMW’s Hams Hall plant in Warwickshire. BMW claims the new roadster should be good for 0-60mph in 8.2sec and 136mph.
