The Goodwood Festival of Speed is underway. Tens of thousands of spectators will pack into Lord March's estate in the coming days to check out an incredible array of motoring and motorsport stars and cars.

This is the 25th Festival, and the event has grown to become so big that it's easy to miss things. So we're bringing you some of the best photos from the event, and have produced a list of the key things to look out for at Goodwood this weekend.

Keep checking the gallery above for images from the Festival throughout the day.

You can also watch Goodwood's live stream of the event here:

This year's theme is ‘Peaks of Performance – Motorsport’s Game-Changers’, so you'll find a lot of high-octane, high-speed fun. There's even a car or two making their debuts - UK and otherwise - so keep your eyes peeled for the first proper look at some brand new metal. 2017 marks the 70th year of Ferrari, so 70 iconic road and racing models will be on display, with many taking to the hill for dynamic demonstrations. The models on show will vary from vintage Grand Prix cars to the most exotic modern supercars.

Nissan BladeGlider

Nissan is showing off its BladeGlider, an all-electric sports car concept that comes as part of its Intelligent Mobility demonstration. The brand will also showcase its latest Nissan GT-R to the Godowood crowds.

Ferrari test drivers Marc Gené and Davide Rigon, and Red Bull tester Pierre Gasly will also drive modern grand prix cars up the hill.

Sunday Shootout: a GT showdown

Goodwood traditionally ends with a timed competition, and this year it will feature a special section for stars and cars from the world of GT racing.

The line-up will include Jonny Adam, driving the Aston Martin Vantage that, sharing with Darren Turner and Daniel Serra, he drove to victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans recently.

This year's Goodwood will also celebrate the career of ex-F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone. The traditional sculpture next to Goodwood House celebrates Ecclestone's achievements, featuring five cars that represents his five 'ages' in F1. The 86-year-old will be providing his collection of historic racing cars for a static display.

All-electric London taxi

Ok, so it might not be a supercar, but LTC's all-electric black cab will make its first public outing at the Festival of Speed. Rather than picking the typical cab driver, LTC has elected 17-year-old Ginetta championship driver Katie Milner to be behind the wheel.

Jaguar XE SV Project 8

Aston's 900bhp hypercar developed with Red Bull will feature on the Michelin stand, but won't take to the hillclimb. Still, for many, it'll be the first time they've seen the next-generation hypercar in the flesh, and with only 175 to be built, possibly the last.

The Spanish hybrid hypercar, which was first revealed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will be another hypercar to take to the Michelin stand, alongside the Aston Martin Valkyrie.

BTCC and tin-tops
