The best new car deals and new car leasing deals for this week, including offers on the Mazda MX-5, Skoda Octavia estate, Ford Ka, MG6 and Toyota GT86

If you’re in the market for a new car, or after the best new-car leasing deal, you can save thousands with a little research. This is the pick of what our deals experts have found this week.

Best new car deals

With a brand new Mazda MX-5 on the horizon, it's no surprise that offers on the firm's iconic roadster are easy to come by. We spotted a good one from Perrys, offering a high-spec 2.0-litre Sport Tech Nav model for £17,295 - a saving of £6000 on the list price.

We were impressed with the Skoda Octavia estate we tested recently in 4x4 form, and this offer from GB Car Deals gets you a 1.6-litre TDI model for £15,805, a saving of well over £3000 from the list price.

Best new car leasing deals

The Ford Ka might be pricer than the current Fiat 500, but in our view it drives better than the Italian supermini. This leasing deal from Car4Leasing gets you a 1.2-litre Studio model for £127.80 per month. That's on a four-year contract and with an initial payment of £766. There's also an annual limit of 10,000 miles.

We grew to love our own long-term MG6, with its high standard specification and decent driving dynamics. An offer from Evans Halshaw Leasing gets you a 1.9-litre model in S trim for £228 per month. That's on a three-year contract and with an initial payment of £1,368. There's also an annual limit of 10,000 miles.

Deal of the week

Toyota's GT86 sports car currently sits as one of our favourite sport coupes, and one of its most appealing aspects is its relatively low price tag. We spotted a 2.0-litre D-4S model with leather inside and satellite navigation going for £25,246 on Drive the Deal - a saving of over £3500 from the list price.

I'd have an MG6, sounds like

I'd have an MG6, sounds like s decent car to do long miles in that I do. However, not at those prices. I'll stick with my C4 that is cheaper over the 3 years I plan to keep it.

Evans Halshaw couldn't pay me £228 per month to drive it and as much as Autocar loved their MG6, it's obvious that from launch nobody else did. It's bad enough in top TSE trim but S...? Can't see too many people rushing down to Evans for this.
