Each Vauxhall Astra VXR Arctic Edition comes in Olympic White piant, while black is used for the roof, front grille, mirror housings and boot trim. Also included are heated leather Recaro front seats, tinted glass and 19-inch alloys. A panoramic windscreen is a £920 option.

Power and performance are unchanged from the standard car’s, so the Arctic Edition’s 237bhp, 236lb ft 2.0-litre engine helps propel the car from 0-60mph in 6.2sec and reach a top speed of 152mph.

If they don't sell they could always stick a blue light on the roof and flog them to plod. That'll bring down 999 response times.

Quite possibly but when Vauxhall do bring out a VXR based on the current model this Artic whatsit plummet in value, so hardly worth paying for it and wait for the new one to come out or buy something else that weighs a lot less.
