West London dealership is five storeys high and features a Quattro heritage collection

Audi has opened its largest dealership in the world in west London.

The £45 million, 190,000 sq ft building is five-storeys high, with two underground floors. It has taken six years to design and build and sits on the M4 motorway near the Chiswick roundabout.

Jeremy Hicks, director of Audi UK, said: “In its scope, size and complexity, West London Audi is like nothing we’ve built before. It is 100 times more complicated than a normal retail centre.

“The sheer scale of this project is very emblematic of the increasing significance of Audi not only in the UK but globally.”

The Audi Quattro Rooms on the fourth and fifth floor contain special models from Audi’s heritage collection, as well as innovations from the firm in its 100-year history. Its three showroom floors are able to display up to 122 cars, while 32 workshop bays feature underground.

Re: World's largest Audi dealer opens

I like the look of it, but I prefer it when Audi lay their cars out very straight and simple, in lines as if they're waiting to start a race. I wish we could have more car dealerships like this - enormous, more of a motorshow experience than crummy little dealer.

I used to work round the corner from this place, it's a dreadful looking dealership.
