Review

Peugeot must be confident in the new Peugeot RCZ R's ability to take the fight to rivals as compelling as the Porsche Cayman and Volkswagen Scirocco R, otherwise it wouldn't have stuck a £31,995 price tag on the car. So what do you get for your money with this new pumped-up version of Peugeot's Audi TT, and is it worth it or not?

Yes

Isn't "best Peugeot" an oxymoron.

I remind you of the existence of the 205 Gti and then politely ask you to pipe down.

The question was best Peugeot in a Generation. The 205 GTi was at least a generation ago, and even that wasn't in the same league as proper quality Peugeots such as the 504.

Never mind the 504, it was the 404 that was so good. Also fancy pre-war 402s

Its more than 200 KG heavier than a 208 GTI which is a very good car that costs 14K less. More importantly its 5K more than the Megane RS. If you wish to pose save cash and buy the base car.

S/H Cayman please. Plenty about for <£30K

Leslie, not sure what your point is. 504 was a great, solid car but hardly an exciting one to drive. At least this RCZ R has some joie-de-vivire back in its step. This could be a sleeper that puts the cr*pper up a few Boxsters and smug Golf Gtis. Good job Pug.

My impression of the tone of this article: Steve is surprised that the car is not as bad as he thought it would be. As he said at the start "not too bad" hardly a rave review. Oh, and it looks bloody awful, very much a ladies car.

If it handles well, is it what the Audi T should have steered like....?
