Steve Cropley samples the all-new Range Rover and we pitch the budget Dacia Duster against the brilliant Skoda Yeti. We also deliver the inside line on Ford's new model announcements

In this week's issue of Autocar magazine, Steve Cropley takes an exclusive ride on and off-road in the all-new Range Rover. With the car pitched at everything from bustling streets to extreme sand dunes, Cropley delivers his first impressions on one of this year’s most talked about new cars.

The Range Rover isn’t the only car we’ve pitched off-road this week, however. In a comparison test at the other end of the budget scale we’ve tested the new Dacia Duster against our favourite budget SUV, the Skoda Yeti? It’s the first test we’ve run with a Skoda pitched as the upmarket rival – but can it live up to the billing?

Our news section is led off by the first pictures and details of the new Ford Mondeo, plus all the reaction and details of the announcements to launch the next Ford Mustang in Europe, plus put the Ford Edge and Ford Ecosport on sale over here within the next 18 months. We also have a world exclusive test drive of the Ford Fiesta-based Ford Ecosport.

This week’s road test is one of the most eagerly anticipated of the year, as it puts every facet of the new Ford Focus ST through its paces. Does it deserve its place among the Fast Ford elite? We have the answer.

Other first drive reviews include a first test of the new SRT Viper, a drive of the Mini Countryman JCW and the facelifted Mercedes C-class.

Meanwhile, in our Deals section James Ruppert takes a look at bargain Audi supercars, we detail how to grab a bargain on a used VW Fox and we also highlight some of the best pre-reg bargains on the market.

As ever, the magazine is available from all good newsagents or can be downloaded from Zinio or the Apple iTunes store.
