Totally subjective?
We all have our fav cars,there's no question about that,but, much as i admired the 205GTi,it just didn't do it for me,having driven one for a few miles and been a passenger in one being driven by a guy who thought he was Seb Loeb, i came to the conclusion of my heading, my fav car (sob sob!)was my M3,now that was some car!

I've got a white 1.9 totally standard and mint and Its hilarious - gets more attention than you would believe.
range rover as a daily driver but it's always refreshing to get behind the wheel of the pug - no driver aids just good old fashioned fun in a lightweight car with the best steering feel of anything I've ever owned.

Fitted with a 16v mi16 engine and it is fantastic.
Nothing can touch it for fun, but I wish people would stop wishing the 208 will be as good. The 205 is almost 30 years and its a very different motoring world now.
If its as good as Clio 200, then it is doing well.
Get a good 205 gti now, while you still can.
Going Backwards
It is tragic in how many respects the modern equivilents to this car are simply worse. Really pretty much any save the utilitarian. What other 'product' is just less nice to use than it was 30 years ago?
