Mercedes' AMG engineers are close to signing off the SLS63 AMG Black Series. Caught here undergoing a final round of testing, the powered-up gullwing coupé is set to crown the SLS line-up early next year following its unveiling at the Paris motor show in September.
Visual changes include reworked front and rear ends for improved aero efficiency, a large rear spoiler and four trapezoidal exhaust pipes instead of the usual two.
Power comes from the standard car’s 6.2-litre V8, tuned to produce around 650bhp. A beefed-up seven-speed, dual-clutch transaxle sends power to the rear wheels.
A reworked chassis includes wider tracks, a lower ride height, additional camber, adjustable dampers, firmer springs, redimensioned anti-roll bars and revised bushes.
Further work has been carried out on the hydraulic steering and braking system.

"Redimensioned anti-roll bars" - does that mean M-B/AMG hasn't decided if the Black's ARBs will be thinner or thicker?
Engine is impressive
Can you ellaborate on "tuned" or is there no more information? Specifically I'd like to know if the V8 is still naturally aspirated, I'm assuming so. 650 HP from a naturally aspirated production V8 is amazing stuff. I know its 6.2 L and Ferrari (and Porsche) could probably pull that off with about 5.0 L, but still...awesome
