The McLaren 570S is now available with an optional Track Pack that adds performance-enhancing parts to Woking’s Sports Series two-seater.

Ticking the Track Pack option adds a taller rear wing, which extends 12mm higher than the standard item to generate an extra 29kg of downforce at 150mph.

Inside, weight is saved with the use of Alcantara upholstery instead of leather for the seats, dashboard and steering wheel, and the standard chairs are swapped for carbonfibre racing seats. Super-light alloy wheels are also added and combine with the lightened cabin to trim 25kg from the 570S’s 1313kg kerb weight.

While off-the-line performance remains unchanged, with 0-62mph taking 3.2sec, the weight loss shaves a tenth of a second from the car’s 0-124mph time, so Track Pack equipped 570Ss can hit the mark in 9.4sec, which matches the time of the more powerful McLaren 675LT.

To cater for the demands of track driving, McLaren also adds the Track Telemetry system featured on the 675LT and P1 to 570S Track Pack models.

The system offers real-time data, such as lap times, sector splits and comparisons between drivers, as well as post-drive information such as comparative graphs.

No changes are made to the car’s turbocharged 3.8-litre engine, so Track Pack cars still produce peak outputs of 562bhp and 443lb ft.

The pack adds £16,500 to the 570S’s starting price, meaning a 570S Track Pack costs from £159,750. Orders are being taken now, with first deliveries expected in early 2017.
