Audi TT RS plus from £48,945

The new Audi TT RS plus will cost from £48,945 when it goes on sale in the UK in the summer. It will be sold in right-hand-drive format.

The new flagship TT features a 20bhp power boost over the standard RS model – now up to 355bhp – and an 11lb ft increase in torque at 343lb ft.

With the optional seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, the 0-62mph dash is dispatched in 4.1sec (down from 4.3sec) for the coupé and 4.2sec (from 4.4sec) for the roadster. Fitted with the six-speed manual ‘box both body variants add 0.1sec to the 0-62mph sprint time.

Top speed for both the coupé and the roadster is also raised from 155mph to 174mph.Audi claims that the new TT RS plus will achieve 33.2mpg and 32.8mpg for the coupé and roadster respectively.

Changes to the exterior compared with the standard RS model include 19-inch titanium-look alloys (up from 18-inch wheels), a matte aluminium surround and polished mesh grille, carbonfibre wing mirror housings and black oval tailpipe trims. A sports exhaust system is also a standard fitment.Inside the TT RS plus cabin, equipment comprises sat-nav and Bluetooth and iPod connectivity. A TT RS plus logo also features on the car’s gear knob.
