Ford has taken the wraps off this Focus Race Car Concept at today's LA motor show. Ford’s new Focus race car is set to go global, racing in a variety of events in the US and around the world.
Power comes courtesy of a tuned version of Ford’s turbocharged 2.0-litre Ecoboost engine that will appear in the new Focus ST. Performance upgrades include AST coil-over adjustable dampers, anti-roll bars from Ford Racing with adjustable drop links, anthracite 18-inch wheels with Hoosier race tires and beefed-up brakes.

On the inside, the race car benefits from a full FIA-certified roll cage, Recaro seats with six-point racing harnesses and electronics package for vital data readings.
The car is set to make its debut run at the 2011 BTCC, also appearing at the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring in Germany.
Ford has also said that the 2012 ST will benefit from the experience gained by its race car sibling.Read more on Ford's racing ambitions for the new Focus

Re: Ford shows off Focus racer
I can't see this giving us much clue of the next Focus RS. The wheels are too small for a start and despite all the stickers and stuff there will be even more bright work on a new RS.
Re: Ford shows off Focus racer
God!, i hope this is how the next RS will look, but probably the pictures been made to fit the space, so it'll be more upright rather than low and mean?.
