Car design has some very obvious trends that characterise different eras in motoring history.
Today’s industry has some real style icons – the Alfa 8C’s modern take on retro looks and the Lamborghini Gallardo’s sharp lines are two of my personal favourites.
Recently, we had the Kia Soul, Citroen C3 Picasso and Renault Grand Scenic in - and it was hard not to notice the current trend towards Fisher Price-like bulges and bright metallic colours.
They look reasonable in isolation, and the C3 Picasso is an appealing car but, still, isn’t this all a bit too child-friendly?
Teletubbies road trip out anyone?
