Volkswagen’s humble Jetta isn’t the first model that leaps to mind when you consider racing. But among the manufacturer-backed series for Porsche 911s, Renault Clio Cups and single-seat specials, there is a championship that allows you to race almost anything with a VW badge on it. Jamie Corstorphine, Autocar’s senior road tester, got behind the wheel of the 1.4 TSI Jetta at Brands Hatch to take part in the Volkswagen Cup race.
