But spokesman confirms that a third model line is under consideration

Reports from the Italian media that a Lamborghini SUV will be unveiled at the Beijing motor show in March are "speculation", according to a company spokesman.

Italian magazine Quattroruote says the car, which is being billed as a spiritual successor to the LM002, will be based on the next generation Porsche Cayenne platform and feature styling influenced by the Aventador. According to the report, it would be powered by a detuned V10 sourced from the Gallardo, while a hybrid model is also possible.

When contacted by Autocar a Lamborghini spokesman said that the story was "speculation".

Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann has previously stated that the firm needs a third model line, however.

For some peculiar reason I can accept Lamborghini producing an SUV, probably because of the LM002 in it's past.

All I hope is that they use this heritage and make it as extreme and as outlandish as the original.

I just wish they would make the Estoque. Could never afford one but it's a gorgeous looking car!
based on the next generation Porsche Cayenne platform and feature styling influenced by the Aventador.
Possibly one of the most depressing statements I've read in a long time.
