F1 figures will share their memories of the Brazilian legend at a charity evening next month, with grand prix memorabilia and tickets up for auction

A charity event next month will see Formula 1 figures share their memories of legendary racing driver Ayrton Senna.

The Life of Ayrton Senna Q&A, which is being held in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals charities, will take place in London on Tuesday 30 June at 7pm.

Organised by Hexagon Modern Classics, the evening will be hosted by Sky F1’s Natalie Pinkham and include an auction of F1 memorabilia as well as an original F1 Lotus on display.

Paddy Lowe, David Coulthard, Patrick Head, Martin Donnelly and Manish Pandey will be among the speakers. After Senna’s death at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, Coulthard took the Brazilian's place on the grid for Williams, where Head was design chief.

Irishman Donnelly raced against Senna in 1990, and Pandey wrote and produced the award-winning biopic of Senna’s life, released in 2010.

A charity auction will take place on the evening, with 10 motorsport-related lots all going under the hammer.

The full list of auction prizes includes: Roman Grosjean race boots, signed by the Lotus F1 driver; a framed set of signed Jenson Button race boots; McLaren’s own ‘Senna’ book, signed by Ron Dennis; an Eddie Jordan TW Steel watch donated by Eddie Jordan and Ferrari GTO dashboard artwork, signed by artist Emilio Saluzzi.

Also on offer is a VIP tour of the Williams F1 Grand Prix Collection and private factory tour; a collection of three montages of iconic Senna images shot by Keith Sutton; a canvas of Ayrton Senna by artist Paul Oz; a Senna replica helmet signed by Lewis Hamilton and VIP weekend paddock passes to British GP donated by Bernie Ecclestone.

The Williams F1 VIP tour and British GP paddock passes will be available for pre-bidding via a silent auction at: jumblebee.co.uk/GOSHSenna. Those who make the highest bids in the silent auction will win a pair of tickets to the evening, where they will have the opportunity to continue the live auction. The silent auction will close at 1900hrs on 29 June.
