The Porsche 918 Spyder has made its UK debut at the Goodwood Moving Motor Show today.

The concept racer – which goes on sale in left-hand drive format only from November 2013 – will cost from 645,000 euro (excl VAT) and will be limited to no more than 918 units.

The variable all-wheel drive hybrid hypercar is powered by a high revving 4.6-litre V8 unit, which is backed up by two electric motors, one on each axle.

Combined, the Porsche 918 Spyder generates 759bhp and a claimed 94mpg economy figure with just 70g/km CO2 emitted from the tailpipes.

Sprinting to 62mph from standing takes 3.2sec and driven flat out, the Spyder will hit 199mph. Top speed on electric power alone is 94mph.
