Thursday, March 18, 2010

Dennis admitted that two new cars are currently under development to join the new MP4-12C. They are thought to be a 911 rival and an F1 replacement.

However he denied that saloons, SUVs or other varients are being planned.

"We intend to have a diverse product range but they will all have two seats," he said. "This is our heritage - we are sportscar makers and the engine will be in the back of all our cars."

However, Dennis did admit that a racing version of the new new MP4-12C could appear.

"We will provide a service for customers who want to race the car but thoughts of a single make series are very premature," he told Autocar.
