AMG package available across the E-class range

Mercedes has unveiled an AMG sports styling package for the new Mercedes E-class.

The styling kit is available with all engine options and features chunky front and rear bumpers, side skirts, a brand-new AMG alloy wheel design and new exhausts.

Four-cylinder petrol models get twin oval exhausts, while four-cylinder diesel models get a single oval pipe. Six-cylinder and eight-cylinder E-class models are fitted with twin rectangular exhausts.

The new alloys are fitted across the range with 245/40 R18 tyres at the front and 265/35 rubber at the rear.

The suspension has also been lowered by 15mm over the standard Mercedes E-classes.

Inside there are sports seats, an AMG-designed steering wheel, and a leather-covered gear selector. Automatic models also include wheel-mounted shift paddles.

A full-house E63 AMG version is also due in the next 12 months. That car will use the same 6.2-litre V8 found in the C63 AMG, but will be lighter than the current E63 AMG and will be available with the wet-clutch manual gearbox first seen in the SL63.
