TVR Cerbera review
TVR Cerbera 4.2 Road Test
Test date 05 June 1996
Price as tested £37,950
For TVR, the Cerbera represents graduation into a fully-fledged, big-league car manufacturer. No longer is the marque restricted to building open two-seaters with bought-in engines; with the Cerbera’s 2+2 accommodation, coupé configuration and, crucially, its home-grown V8 engine, TVR is striking out for customers who may never even have thought of buying from Blackpool. Even though TVR only hopes to shift 400 Cerberas each year, it will have to do more than look good and go fast if it is to persuade people to ignore the likes of the BMW M3 or Toyota Supra.
