Pininfarina penned these new hybrid models, which use micro-turbine technology

Hybrid Kinetic Group (HKG) will reveal two more Pininfarina-designed electric models later this month that use micro-turbine range-extender technology.

Due at the Beijing motor show on 25 April, the K350 SUV (top) and H500 saloon (below) follow the Hong Kong company's HK GT coupé, H600 saloon and K550 and K750 SUVs.

Although details for the latest cars have yet to be revealed, they're expected to use the same powertrain as the other cars. The electric models come with claims for up to 621 miles of range and use battery packs with 50,000-charge-cycle lifespans.

Preview images show that the K350 will have a strong shoulderline and sharp headlights like its siblings. The H500 will have four doors and a rear roofline that extends further back than on regular saloons, giving it the sort of silhouette we've come to expect from models prioritising rear head room, like the similarly sized BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo.

Opting for this bodyshape with the saloon mirrors design trends in China, where demand for cars with generous rear room is higher than in most other countries. This is evident in the number of long-wheelbase versions of cars, such as the Jaguar XEL and XFL, on sale there.

An image of the K350's inside shows it will have space for four passengers with deeply bolstered seats. An image of the H500's interior (below) shows that it features a wraparound dashboard screen with a digital instrument cluster and another screen in the lower centre console.

Pininfarina, the Italian design house soon to launch its own car company with an exotic electric hypercar to rival the Bugatti Chiron, has penned all of HKG's models as part of a partnership worth £55 million.

There's no word as to when the first production K350 and H500 models will hit the market, but other models in HKG's range are due on roads later this year, suggesting the same could be true for the latest car.
