The Jaguar E-Type will take centre stage at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed to celebrate 50 years since it was first launched.
The E-Type will be the subject of Goodwood’s annual ‘Central Feature’ in the form of a commemorative statue in front of Goodwood House. There will also be a special class for E-Types in the Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’ concours d’elegance and memorable racing examples will be in action on the hillclimb throughout the weekend.
Jaguar first launched the E-Type at the Geneva motor show 50 years ago this month. It will also be commemorated with special races at the Goodwood Revival race meeting later in the summer.
