Jaguar boss Mike O’Driscoll has announced that he is to stand down from his role of managing director next spring.
O’Driscoll was put in place by Jaguar Land Rover’s previous owner Ford in 2007. He moved to the UK from the United States to take up the role, which focused on leading the Jaguar brand through its sale to Tata, and introducing the new XF, XK and XJ.
O’Driscoll said, “Being part of the team that has rebuilt this great brand has been a huge privilege.”

Dr Ralf Speth, CEO of JLR, commented, “I would like to express my gratitude to Mike for his commitment and dedication to Jaguar Cars. His passionate leadership has been vital to Jaguar during this time in its history.”
Jaguar Land Rover has yet to confirm who will be replacing O’Driscoll, who is to stay in his role until the end of March 2011 and continue to be linked to the firm through its Heritage division. He is expected to return to the US.
