This solid gold, diamond-encrusted model of a Bugatti Veyron costs £2 million - more than the supercar itself.

The Bugatti Veyron Diamond Limited Edition model is 1:18 scale, and is made of solid 24-carat gold, platinum and adorned with 7.2 carat single cut flawless diamonds. The doors and bonnet are functional, as is the steering.

The model is the work of Munich-based Robert Gulpen and Liverpool-based Stuart Hughes.Only 3 will be made.

Yes there is a remarkable similarity. Think the Astra is more tasteful though.

Anyone with any sort of engineering knowledge, and most people without any can see that the Veyron is a massive engineering achievement. It was never build to make money, it was built to see if it could be done.
