Volkswagen will unveil four special editions at next week's Leipzig motor show, including a Scirocco GTS and 'Fender' edition Beetle

The Volkswagen Scirocco GTS will be among four debuts at next week’s Leipzig motor show. The model has been built to celebrate 30 years since the first Scirocco GTS left the line.

The Scirocco GTS features twin stripes running from bumper to boot, bespoke front and rear bumpers and exposed side skirts. The rear diffuser and roof-lip spoiler have been borrowed from the Scirocco R.

It rolls on 18-inch ‘Thunder’ alloy wheels and the GTS features red brake calipers, which match the door mirror casings. The interior is trimmed in black leather with red stitching and a dimpled golf ball gear knob is fitted. It is powered the standard car's 208bhp 2.0-litre TSI engine and is understood to be a standalone model, not a special edition.

A special edition Beetle has also been announced. The Volkswagen Beetle Fender, previously shown as a concept at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show, is equipped with a 400-watt Fender audio system. The dashboard facia is finished in two-tone ‘Sunburst’ wood, matching Fender’s iconic finish to its guitars.

A chrome Fender logo is fitted, and each model is supplied with three limited-edition guitar picks.

An R Line edition of the Volkswagen CC and an Urban White version of the faux-SUV CrossPolo will also debut in Leipzig.

The Beetle Fender is expected launch in the UK in the first half of 2013. Volkswagen has no plans to bring the other models to the UK.
