The facelifted Audi R8 has been caught virtually undisguised, ahead of its debut at the Moscow motor show in August. Exterior revisions include new LED headlights and two round tailpipes like those from the R8 GT.
A new grille, which appears to have been optimised for improved airflow, will also be offered.
Audi hopes the changes introduced in the facelift will see the car through to the introduction of the second-generation Audi R8.
These latest images show headlamp units featuring Audi’s trademark horseshoe lighting strip, but the disguised lights also appear to feature an indicator strip running through the centre. The two cars photographed suggest the exaggerated side blade vents of the V10 will be retained.
It is expected V10-engined models will see power raised to around 540bhp, but the output of V8 models will be largely unchanged, at 424bhp. A new seven-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox will be offered alongside the six-speed manual.
