Toyota (GB) PLC is the Sales and Marketing Company for Toyota and Lexus products in the UK and has just under 300 employees. Toyota’s aim is to increase the representation of women within the business by attracting more female recruits and providing training and career development opportunities to enable women to fulfil their potential.

Over the past 12 months years, women have made up 54% of all external appointments to Toyota (GB) PLC with the overall proportion of females employed by the company  over the last four years increasing from just over 30% to 37%.

To encourage flexible options for all, the company has introduced improved flexible working policies across the organisation, encouraging managers to have conversations about flexible choices that are right for both the individual and the team. Enhanced maternity policies have also been introduced.

Toyota is committed to bringing more women into senior management roles and has been a member of the Automotive 30% Club since 2016, pledging for women to take up 30 per cent of key leadership positions in the business by 2030 and 25 per cent of senior executive roles within the next five years. Company-wide, Toyota has increased the levels of staff engagement over the past five years to achieve ‘Extraordinary’ levels of engagement and to achieve 22nd position in The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For 2019.

Peugeot Motor Company is part of Groupe PSA's presence in the UK, focusing on the sales and marketing of the Peugeot brand through a 180 Dealership strong network.

Promoting gender equality in a predominantly male sector is a central component of Groupe PSA’s social policy.
