Citroën has spiced up its C8 people carrier range by introducing two improved diesel engines. The 136bhp and 120bhp 2.0-litre units offer boosts in power, plus slightly lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The more powerful engine replaces the old 130bhp unit; the 120bhp engine replaces the 110bhp unit, which can now only be ordered with an automatic gearbox. Both new units can run on up to 30 per cent biodiesel.

Prices start at £18,000 for the 120bhp car and £20,025 for the more powerful C8 – if you include Citroën’s August offer of £3000 cashback.
