New Zagato Stradale is based on a Dodge Viper ACR and features a 4.2-litre V8 engine

Zagato has unveiled the TZ3 Stradale, as a continued celebration of Alfa Romeo's centenary.

Despite its Alfa looks, the special edition Stradale is based on a Dodge Viper ACR, with power sourced from the American’s 4.2-litre V8 engine, which is mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox.

The bespoke body is made from carbonfibre and features the company’s familiar Kamm tail. The latest model follows the original TZ, TZ2, and the recently TZ3 Corsa, which was unveiled last year at Villa d'Este.

The new model "celebrates the road legal heritage of Alfa Romeo Zagato coupes” and only nine Zagato TZ3s will be made.
