Kia's facelifted Soul features revised engines and a new 6-spd manual 'box for the UK

Kia has unveiled its facelifted Kia Soul at the New York motor show.

Revisions to the latest version include the introduction of a new six-speed gearbox – available for the UK - new styling cues and updated engines.

The new 1.6-litre petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual ‘box produces 138bhp and 121lb ft of torque.

The more powerful, 2.0-litre petrol unit, is now available with either the six-speed manual or automatic gearbox and offers 160bhp – up by 13 per cent – and 143 lb ft of torque.

Revised styling cues include LED daytime running lights, redesigned bonnet and bumpers.

Inside, standard features include USB and MP3 connectivity with customers able to specify heated leather seats, climate control, sat-nav, push-button start and reversing camera.
