Subtle exterior and interior changes to Tesla's electric sports car

Tesla has launched a subtly revised version of its electric sports car, the Roadster.

The Tesla Roadster 2.5, revealed simultaneously at new showrooms in Denmark and California, now sports a new front front fascia with revised air intake vents, while a revised diffuser at the rear "points to the future" of Tesla's future design direction. New forged alloy wheels available in either silver or black complete the exterior changes.

Interior changes include new, more supportive seats, a new "power control hardware that enables spirited driving in exceptionally hot climates", a seven-inch touchscreen display with back-up camera and improved sound reduction in the cabin.

"Although development of the Model S is our main focus, this shows that we still care a great deal about improving the Tesla Roadster," said Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

"These improvements are a direct result of customer feedback and come only a year after release of Roadster 2.0. Where feasible, we will also offer existing customers the ability to purchase the upgrades now available in version 2.5."
