Hot Clio becomes the latest Renault to get a Gordini styling makeover

The Renault Clio has become the second model in its range to be made available in Gordini trim, revealed at today's Geneva motor show.

Renault brought the Gordini badge back on the Renaultsport Twingo 133 late last year, although the Gordini changes are all cosmetic and no changes are made under the skin. The Renaultsport Clio 200 is the latest model to be made available in Gordini trim.

Gordini changes include Malta Blue paintwork (three other colour choices are available) and two white stripes running over the car. Gloss black trim is added to the front bumper and rear diffuser, while the wing mirror housings and F1-style front bib are all finished in white. Diamond-effect 17-inch aluminium alloy wheels with black inserts complete the exterior changes.

Inside, it gets Gordini-badged Renaultsport seats, a blue and black leather-trimmed steering wheel with two white stripes, white dials, a Gordini gearknob, new stitching on the dashboard, new Gordini floor mats and a numbered Gordini plaque on the centre console.

Like the standard 200, the Gordini model comes with a 198bhp 2.0-litre engine and sports chassis as standard, and the firmer Cup suspension set-up will be optional.

The car will reach UK showrooms in the summer and will carry an estimated price tag of around £18,000.
