Bizarre retro saloon will go into production in June

This is the Bufori Geneva, a retro-styled saloon that will go into production June 2010.

Power for the rear-drive Geneva comes from a 6.1-litre V8 engine, which produces 424bhp and 432lb ft. Despite weighing more than two tonnes, it can get from 0-62mph in 5.4 sec and go on to reach a top speed of 166mph.

A supercharger can be fitted to further boost performance and a limited-slip differential is fitted as standard.

R&D for the Geneva has taken place at Bufori’s Kuala Lumpur base in Malaysia. The unequal arm front and multi-link rear suspension are both fully adjustable. Its chassis is made from stainless steel and body panels are made from carbonfibre and Kevlar.

Design features include Rolls-Royce-style ‘suicide’ rear doors, bi-xenon front headlights and LED rear lights. Long running boards feature down the sides of the Geneva.

Interior features include mood lighting, fully adjustable ‘lounge-style’ rear seats. The interior is finished in leather and wood veneers. Options include a tea set, which can produce boiling water and includes a sink, and an Espresso coffee machine.

Each unit will be specially made to order by the Australian/Malaysian firm and deliveries will commence before the end of 2010.
