Michael Schumacher has got back into the cockpit of a single-seat racing car for the first time since he revealed he would be returning to Formula One with Mercedes.
Schumacher has begun a three-day test of GP2 machinery at Jerez in Spain and is evaluating different components and suspension set-ups that will be used at GP2 race weekends this year.

The last time Schumacher tested a single-seater was last summer, ahead of his planned comeback to replace the injured Felipe Massa at Ferrari.
That comeback was aborted due to continued concerns over his neck injury, but when his three-year Mercedes deal was confirmed last month Schumacher insisted he was fit enough now to return.
