Bavarian Porsche specialist RUF has unveiled an electric version of the Porsche Cayenne.
Dubbed the eRUF Stormster, it is powered by a 367bhp Siemens electric motor. Lithium-Ion batteries made by Li-Tec, which RUF say are the first European automotive batteries made using ceramic storage technology, drive the motor.

Although the Stormster weighs in at 2670kg, RUF says the car can hit 62mph in 10 seconds, with a top speed of 93mph and a range of 125 miles.
The Stormster concept was unveiled at the European Climate Change conference in Copenhagen.

Great!, if I could buy this car, I would get to walk the last 5 miles every time I wanted to visit My friend in Hertfordshire and know that I couldn't actually get home again!. Boy, that's what I call progress!.
Never mind all the "look at our performance figures from an electric vehicle" nonsense, concentrate on getting the range up to something usable!.
