Revised model should arrive late next year before the coupe version

These are the first spy pictures of the facelifted Mercedes C-class, which is set to be launched in late 2010.

The current C-class went on sale in 2007 and is due for a mid life refresh, although any styling changes are likely to be subtle. It will arrive in time to compete with the all-new BMW 3-series and facelifted Audi A4.

Its front-end gets draws styling influences from the latest E-class, with new headlights, a new bumper and a new bonnet. Changes at the rear are even more minor, with only small changes to the bumper and lights featuring.

There is no word yet on interior tweaks or changes to the engine range, but expect Mercedes to reduce emissions and improve fuel economy across the range.

The revised C-class saloon will arrive before the all-new C-class coupe, which is due to be launched in 2011. The coupe will share its platform with the saloon version and will be a more conservative replacement for the CLK, sitting below the E-class coupe.
