German firm Startech has shown off its design package for the Jaguar XK coupe and convertible models.

Startech traditionally focuses on Chrysler models but its stand at the Frankfurt motor show showed off its range for the Jaguar sports car.

Exterior and interior styling upgrades are available, including new carbonfibre panels, new front and rear spoilers and a new rear diffuser.

Daytime running lights and new air vents also feature at the front, while it rides on new Monostar 21-inch alloy wheels. The ride height has been dropped by 40mm.

Inside, it gets a light brown Alcantara leather interior to create a “very English ambiance in the cockpit”, but other colours are available. Bamboo, precious wood, carbonfibre and aluminium trim options are all available.

The styling package is available to order now, although no prices have been confirmed by Startech.

Pity they didn't re-style the chav 'false eyelashes' headlights. Sure, it'd be an expensive process, but Ian Callum's original twin-headlight design, which was over-ruled by the plebs at Ford (who deemed it 'too radical'), was much cooler.

Might appeal to a premiership footballer or his wife, I suppose, but to mind mind the XK is a lovely looking car as it is without these ghastly additions. Why spoil it?

Re: Jaguar XK design package

The choice of colors of the interior is rather unfortunate. It looks cheap and mismatched.

The leather is way too ligt, almost pumpkin orange, which doesn't look nice with the beige carpeting (looks stock) and the light bamboo trim (it needs to be stained).

I would make the carpeting black, the leather in a natural saddle leather or a chocolate brown, and the trim in a dark stain bamboo (BMW has the nicest stained bamboo trim) or machine turned aluminum (in keeping with English sports car tradition).

I don't see any Alcantara in the photos, which is good. Used in large quantities it looks very fuzzy, almost toy-like.
