Peugeot has confirmed its new 3008 crossover will start at £15,995 when it goes on sale in November.

The 3008 is meant to combine SUV, MPV and family hatchback qualities in one car and it will be available in three trim levels: Active, Sport and Exclusive.

Standard kit on Active models includes 17-inch steel wheels with Michelin energy saver tyres, electric windows, air conditioning, ESP and a leather steering wheel.

Extra features on Sport models includes body-coloured bumpers, 17-inch alloy wheels and cruise control, while Exclusive models get a panoramic glass roof, chrome bumpers, and automatic headlights and wipers as standard.

There are six powertrains offered across the range, including two petrol and three diesel engines. The 1.6 VTi 120 will be mated to a five-speed manual, while the 1.6 THP 150, HDi 110 FAP and HDi 150 FAP all get a six-speed manual gearbox.

The HDi 163 FAP gets the six-speed auto ‘box, while the HDi 110 FAP EGC is mated to Peugeot’s electronically controlled ‘box, which allows the driver to manually change gear without using the clutch.

The 3008 with the lowest CO2 emissions is the HDi 110 FAP EGC, which emits 130g/km while returning 57.7mpg.
