Specced-up versions of the C1 and C3 Pluriel join C2 in Citroen's bargain zone

Citroen is stepping up its efforts to bring even better value to the budget end of the new car market by extending its family of Code limited editions to the C1 and C3 Pluriel models.

Citroen C1 Code: metallic paint and alloys for under £500

Citroen's Code badge adds a metallic black paint job and 14in alloy wheels to the C1’s Rhythm model, which already features a CD player, remote central locking, electric windows and four airbags.The three-door C1 Code costs £7,945 (just under £500 over a C1 Rhythm); the price rises to £8,295 for the five-door. A fuel economy of 60mpg and a miniscule CO2 emissions of just 109g/km come as standard.

Citroen C3 Pluriel Code: leather seats into the bargain

The C3 Pluriel Code get a pearlescent black exterior, 15in alloys and a full leather interior. This is added to the standard equipment of the Exclusive model.The Pluriel Code costs £12,895 and again comes with just one engine, a 1.4-litre petrol with 75bhp and combined economy of 41mpg.The C2 Code is still on sale for £10,695.
