Mitsubishi will launch an all-new vehicle at the Geneva motor show in March, and has released this teaser image of the car’s front-end design.

The new offering has been described by Mitsubishi as ‘an innovative premium vehicle’ that will go on sale later this year.

It will mark the start of a new generation of global products from Mitsubishi, as well as a transformation in the manufacturer’s design language that will follow an ‘engineering-driven look’.

Mitsubishi is aiming to produce a new range of cars, crossovers and SUVS that appeal to a worldwide market and are more ecologically sound, with a particular focus on electric cars.

A key car in Mitsubishi’s future plans will be the Mirage, a new entry-level city car that was shown as a concept at the Tokyo motor show. Mitsubishi intends to make a production version of the global small car this year.

It will go on sale in 2012 in Thailand first before being rolled out across the rest of the globe, eventually arriving in the UK in 2013 when it will replace the ageing Colt.

Boy, do they need new models!

You got that right! their models are very dated now, they dont sell overly well and are hardly competetive in the market so they really need to do something.

Really? Another "premium" product?

Getting tired of this. The word "premium" is being banded around in the same way as "eco blue blah" is. Every car seems to be premium in one way or another now-a-days and it's starting to mean nothing!

Looks interesting. Judging by the fog-light position it'll be quite tall. Evoque competitor?

We've a couple of very happy Lancer Sportback owners here. They're refreshing different to the rest of works carpark.
