Facelifted model will go on sale this summer

These are the best pictures yet of the facelifted Mini hatchback, which will go on sale this summer.

Unsurprisingly, the exterior modifications are restricted to styling tweaks, as shown by the disguised parts on the spied car. These include the front air intakes, bumpers and lights.

Inside, expect to see similar materials to those shown in the Mini Countryman. The interior will feature new, classier surfaces, replacing some of the metal-effect finishes of the current model.

Mechanical changes are not expected, although a range of cleaner, more effecient engines is said to be under development.

The refreshed Mini hatch will go on sale around August.

The MINI should be soft, slim and feminine, like its predecessors

I don't think the MINI should have ANY defined gender in it's styling; that was the thing about the original, everybody was equal behind the wheel, the driver made the car what it was, not the other way round.

Where, IMO, there is valid criticism is in the company hardly changing anything in the car's styling. Alright so it's only a facelift, but they could've still been a bit more adventurous,
Yes. They could have turned it into the BMW Mini Metro. And they will, it's only a matter of time...

Still far too big, fat, heavy, bloated and ugly.

So how come it's still one of the most fun to drive in its class, as well as economical?
