My Father used to let me sit on his lap whilst driving his successive Jag XJ12's up and down the M4 when I was a young lad and I've been a Jag fan ever since, although I've never actually managed to own one of my own yet. Started off with dodgy old Escorts in really bad colours, then a Metro, an AX (lighter than an empty coke can), a Punto Mk1, a Rover 216 Coupe, a gorgeous 1972 Beetle 1303 (which I will always love), another Punto Mk1 (my first new car), then a big jump to a BMW 5 Series before the kids started coming, then a Laguna Mk1 (excellent car, even after a BMW), a Punto Mk 2, an Espace Mk4 in black (looked like a space age hearse!) whilst we had a Landie Freelander (pile of c**p), a ridiculous 1989 Merc 300E in beige (seemed like a good idea at the time) then a Saab 9-5, a Grande Punto Sporting and back to an Espace. There may have been another Escort in there that I'm too ashamed to even mention. I like to change my cars as often as I can :-) I have 3 small children so relegated to fat-dad-cars like the Espace (I'm on my second Mk4) but we try to spice it up (relative to the Espace!) with the second car and currently have an orange Grande Punto Sporting which I want to swap for a CLC (because we can't afford a good CLK).
