The only distressing thing for me in this report is the 950kg kerb weight.  This is a stripped out racing 500; why is it so overweight?  A Panda 100HP is only 25kg heavier from the show room...

Premium? Premium schremium! I can't get excited about a damped glovebox.

A roll cage weighs about 40kgs.

Then there is the fire safety kit etc.

A race car weighs similar to its road going counterpart unless its in a special class where more money is spent on replacement panels, glass and special lightweight components.

It's 950kgs so it's still 85kgs lighter than the road version which is good going.

Of course i would like to see a small car weigh much less though.

Vicky claims the original Abarth was based on the old 500. The picture shows the old 600 which was a totally different animal. Who lets women near these cars?

At least she got near the car. Did no-one bother to tell her about the mic?

I tried to count how many times 'really' came out but lost count!

No matter how much they tart up that Fiat, its still looks totally like a big girly car.

    lunch means driving one handed.

It also does not drive well. The suspension really is not worth much so this car does not need more bhp or stiffer springs. It is a fancy car - no more. If you want fun a Clio cup or mx-5 is the business.

    Hey Vicky,

Really good video for someone who has not done a lot of this previously. So many of your male colleagues come across as wooden as a plank when there is a camera in front of them, but you have the knack.

From what I've heard they only had a short amount of time to record in the car, i think it was the best video that Vicky has done.
