    Land Rover sales have risen for the third consecutive month.

    October sales were up 89 per cent on last year’s levels as the firm sold 2855 combined units of its five models. So far in 2009, the firm has shifted 28,042 new models.

    Sales have been boosted by the launch of new versions of the Discovery, Range Rover and Ranger Rover Sport and new 59 registration plates.

    just in the sake of balance, Oct 2008 was thee cataclysmic month, the month of Lehman's collapse and McBust's rescuing of the British ponzi banksters with hundreds of billions of pounds of UK taxpayers' money. Most car makers, particularly high-end makers, rebounded off this unprecedented low, er, except Jaguar.

    not a lot of people know that: more than three-quarters(78%) of Hyundai's total sales in October 2009 were through the scrappage scheme.
