Mercedes has thrown a number of extras at the C-class to create a special edition Executive SE model.

Based on the manual C180 BlueEfficiency SE, it is offered as both a saloon and estate.

Externally the Executive SE gets the three-pointed star in its grille, usually only seen on the Sport model, new 16-inch alloys and chrome exhaust tips.

Inside the car gets a multimedia system that includes sat nav and voice control, with a multi-function steering wheel.

At just £600 more than the SE looks like a welcome addition to the range, your getting a lot of equipment for the money. Should sell very well I reckon. Shame no Artico seats though.

sounds like good value to me and a good way to get into a c class!  just one thing mercedes! please update your website it is quite plainly rubbish! bmw and audis sites allow you to configure their models and are user friendly unlike the benz one

Coinsidentally, MB added their new configurator to their website today (I think they heard you!) after several months of absence and it's better and more detailed than BMW and Audi configurator, finally.

Who buys a manual C-Class? Why would you limit it to a manual, makes no sense unless they have a load of manual gearboxes they need to shift.

Completely agree, I hope they allow customers to chose other engines and gearboxes. The 220CDI Auto is usually the big seller.

ExecutiveSE versions are usually launched when the model is due to be facelifted or replaced soon. Just like the Match trim VW tend to use.
