Lotus will be unveiling the Scura at the Tokyo motor show, Autocar can reveal.

The car, which will be known as the "Stealth Edition", is a tweaked Exige S, with 260bhp squeezed from its supercharged engine thanks to a modified ECU. In standard form the Exige S has 220bhp, with 240bhp available from a performance pack.

Launch control, Ohlins 2-way adjustable dampers, and variable slip traction control, are all standard on the track day special.

The matt black paint looks stunning. Why don't we get more matt painted cars?

 i know come on lotus  maybe time for a change here!  as nice as it is :)   black looks good but the isotope green they do and chrome orange is sweet

Will a speeding car painted matt black with paint from a stealth fighter be flashed by a speed camera?

Wonder why Lotus decided to give this car an Italian name - Scura means "Dark (f)". Still looks wicked though!
