    What is it?

The new Porsche 911 Turbo. Unveiled in at last month’s Frankfurt motor show, the latest evolution of Zuffenhausen’s uber coupe/cabriolet has been extensively reworked in a two year program that Porsche’s head of passenger car development, August Achleitner, claims has made it an even better and more entertaining car to drive then ever before.

Given the adrenalin inducing appeal of the old 911 Turbo – a car we described as the best all weather supercar of all tim...Read the full article

How long before we see a 911 Turbo re-match with the GT-R?

    It's all about the twisties....

Agreed - a re-match will be interesting .... if only Porsches weren't so overpriced !

You could say that....or you could say that the GTR is a marketing excercise that will never make any money for nissan. While the 911 is a staple for Porsche, in particular the turbo for its higher margins that stop the business getting into the problems it had in the early 90's.

Well done to Nissan for doing it all for 60k but there are a completely different set of objectives.

Why not? awesome traction, not very heavy, quick box and a clever launch system would disagree with you!

Lovely, Turbo for me please. I don't see any reason to doubt the 0-100 time. Porsche if anything have a history of being conservative in their performance claims.

some of u might think im crazy but this should be able to match the GTR V-spec, the performance is awesome, this car handles better, is more powerful, has the new improved pdk gearbox, is lighter and more responsive, it might be ordinary to some people but to me its the perfect supercar :) long live porsche

0 turbo lag, better at turning corners (not enough down force on the front of the 911), faster gearbox, easier to drive at high speed and the best part, it's half the money! :-)

    GT-R all the way!

Oh goodie: another bloody Porsche being facelifted and Autocar gets its knickers in a twist again. You really don't have to read the article. The conclusion will be something like: "the best Porsche ever, unbelievable they could make it even better. For daily commuting the version XXX would be a bit more comfy, but if you venture onto a track every now and then, this Turbo will be the best thing since sliced bread/frozen yoghurt/the last Porsche we tested" (two weeks ago probably).
